Concert Reviews
"You’re going to get a little of everything tonight. Something old, something new, something borrowed”, Joe Elliott, lead singer of Def Leppard, promised the crowd at the beginning of the concert at Allentown’s PPL Center in May 2016.
And the band lived up to this promise throughout the first leg of their 2019 Tour by mixing up the old hits with the new songs from the recent album.
That's the key to Def Leppard's success, not just nostalgia for the band's '80s and early '90s commercial heyday. The new songs fit in with the old perfectly. There is no old or new Def Leppard. Their music really is timeless.
The Def Leppard hits, only very slightly updated, still sound good and resonate with the rock crowd. Most of the band's peers from that era aren't selling out arenas so easily and that often.
So if you’re looking for a good gig to spend money on this summer, Def Leppard are back on the road with the Journey. You won’t be disappointed!
Below is the compilation of Def Leppard concerts reviews from people who have attended their concerts in 2018.
This was by far the best concert hands down that I've been to yet!! I would have paid more to go to one like this again!!
REO SPEEDWAGON AND DEF LEPPARD have only gotten better with age! Highly spirited and audience oriented! Loved it!!!!
We had the most Rockin Time at the Big Sandy Arena in Huntington WV!! Tesla killed it right out of the Gate!! All the bands sounded really nice in the Arena!! REO Speedwagon is a Band to not miss!! Def Leppard is always amazing...they always find a way to pull at our heart strings w/Photographs from the Past...Band members that passed away are recognized and appreciated for the value they have brought to the Band!!
My fave band ever and they didn't disappoint , best concert I've been too in years ! They still sound good live!
Record crowd... Good seats... Fabulous sound... Great graphics... Started on time and ended with a Bang!!!
The show was incredible!!! Loved every minute, I felt like I was time warping back to the 80's. They played all of their hits, before an enthusiastic packed arena.
This is the third tome I have seen Def Leppard in the last 20 years. They just keep getting better. I would defiantly recommend this show to anyone who loves rock and roll!!
By far the best concert I have ever attended!! I have been a fan for 35 years!! And will be a fan as long as I live! The whole show was great!! Tesla and REO rocked also!! Can't wait to see them again! Rock on
I've loved Def Leppard's sound ever since my dad introduced me to 80's rock. The band's guitar and vocals are unparalleled! A one-armed drummer is pretty impressive as well. I was a little skeptical about this concert when I heard that Joe Elliott had been overcoming a case of laryngitis. I am, however, happy to say that the laryngitis is definitely gone! The band came out a gave one heck of a show. They played a good portion of there older hits and a few new ones sprinkled in. I would definitely recommend this show to any Def Leppard or 80's rock fan!
My girls and I had a blast! One of the best concerts ever! Def Leppard has always been one of my favorite 80's bands and it was an honor to finally see them perform. They didn't disappoint! They did an amazing job rocking P'cola! Can't wait to see them again! Styx was great too. Their keyboard player is very talented and full of energy. Loved it!!!
Absolutely AMAZING! Brought back so many high school memories with every song they sang. They know how to put on a show.
